Manthorpe Engineering Ltd are recruiting fully skilled, time served welders within our fabrication department. You will be working on a range of fabrications, primarily supporting the UK Defence industry.
Key Responsibilities include;
- Welding of complex, high integrity fabrications in a variety of materials such as carbon steels, aluminium, stainless steels, duplex with the occasional exotic alloy component.
- Work to an exacting quality standard to ensure we maintain our BS EN ISO 3834 accreditation
- All welds will be subject to some form of NDT ranging from visual to radiographic.
- Maintain a high level of housekeeping to ensure the on-going cleanliness of the facilities.
- Ensure that route card instructions are followed and that all documentation is completed to company procedures.
- Fully conversant with engineering drawings and weld symbols
- Proactively identify and suggest improvement opportunities
- Ensure all working hours are accurately logged (direct and indirect hours)
Qualifications / Experience;
- Apprenticeship trained, time served, NVQ level 3, or higher
- Excellent interpersonal skills, able to work effectively as part of a team
- Minimum 3 years experience as a qualified welder
- Experience of the MIG, MMA & TIG processes
- Experience of working with a wide range of materials
We offer competitive rates of pay for the right candidate
- Day Shift only (0730-1630 Mon-Thurs, 0730-1230 Fri)
- 39hrs per week basic
Overtime (+50%) is available where required including weekend working
Holiday entitlement - 33 days (including statutory)
